A PAVILION OF STRUCTURED ABSENCE
Location
Atlanta, GA
The pavilion's design reflects the duality of human emotion. The circular form, set apart and recessed, symbolizes a space for inner thoughts-private, complex, and unfiltered, the colors represent an array of emotions, from calm to anxiety, capturing the spectrum of internal experience. In contrast, the grid structure acts as an external mask, an organized facade that shields these deeper emotions, projecting order and transparency to the outside world.
Through this transition from chaos to structure, the pavilion illustrates how we compose ourselves, balancing our internal complexities with the face we show publicly.
